Jimmy Hatcher is a Veteran serving Veterans and all citizens facing loss of life, liberty, or property.
LCDR Hatcher retired from the Navy in 2015 after being mobilized in 2008 as part of Operation Noble Eagle in support of the Global War on Terrorism. Jimmy was awarded the Defense Meritorious Service medal for his work as a member of the Office of Military Commissions assigned to the 9/11 terrorism trial. Previously, he proudly served on active duty during the first Gulf War as well as being a drilling reservist from 1998 to 2008 attached to the Naval Legal Service Office Southeast Region.
Mr. Hatcher draws on a wealth of experience in representing his clients. He is licensed in state and federal court in SC where he worked as both a prosecutor and public defender for over ten years in Union, York, and Spartanburg counties. Mr. Hatcher was Assistant Solicitor for Union County from 1993 to 1995, and worked as a member of the prosecution in State v Susan Smith. As a public defender for eight years in York and Spartanburg County, Jimmy worked tirelessly for his clients and has regularly achieved positive results for numerous clients at the trial court level including dismissal of charges, forum reduction, favorable plea deals, as well as bench and jury trial acquittals.
Mr. Hatcher is experienced in basic estate planning having prepared simple wills, living wills, and powers of attorney for active-duty and retired military over the span of his twenty-five years as a Navy JAG. Jimmy is further qualified to counsel Veterans business owners interested in submitting an application for Verification and designation as a Veterans Affairs Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owner Small Business (VOSB).
